Engages in research that furthers the understanding of disputing and dispute settlement practices. Encourages the practice and testing of a variety of dispute resolution procedures with an emphasis on Asia and the Pacific. Also offers training and workshops in conflict resolution, cross-cultural conflict, negotiation, and gender and conflict to individuals and organizations across the state. Provides training and services on conflict resolution for the University of Hawaii system.
