Provides training in public dispute resolution and participatory decision-making to extension educators, government agency staff, elected officials and citizens. Cooperative Extension also provides facilitation and mediation assistance to government organizations and others for managing conflict over environmental issues, and aiding collaborative decision-making. Offers a leadership development program with a focus on conflict resolution and collaborative problem solving. Primary Activities: Policy Development, Implementation of Policy, Teaching (graduate and undergraduate courses), Training (short-term), Evaluation and Project Management. Primary Audiences: Elected Officials (state, county, local/city), Agency Officials (state, county, local/city), Nonprofits, Foundations and Businesses.
